Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Jyro operates jyro.design and the Jyro for Blender add-on. Privacy inquiries may be sent to hello@jyro.design.

2. Privacy at a glance

  • PayPal handles payments. Jyro does not receive or store your full payment card, bank account, or payment credentials.
  • Your design work stays yours and stays local. Jyro does not upload, inspect, collect, or store your Blender files, models, renders, project geometry, materials, template contents, or other design content.
  • License checks use only minimum technical data. The add-on contacts our license service only to verify access, identify an activated device, enforce device limits, manage trials, and prevent abuse.

3. Payments and purchase records

Payments are securely processed by PayPal, our checkout provider. Payment details are entered on PayPal's checkout and are handled under PayPal's own terms and privacy practices.

PayPal may provide Jyro with limited transaction information required to deliver and manage your license, such as the product purchased, checkout email, sale and customer identifiers, and payment or refund status. We use this information only for license delivery and administration, refunds, support, fraud prevention, and legal or accounting obligations.

4. License verification data

Online verification may process and retain the minimum information needed to operate the license service:

  • machine or device identifier and operating-system information;
  • plugin key and version;
  • license key or license reference;
  • plan, expiration, activation and trial status, and timestamps;
  • verification result, successful-use count, IP address, and approximate IP-derived location for security and abuse prevention.

These are authorization and security records, not Blender project data. They are not used to view, analyze, or reconstruct what you create.

5. Website and support data

Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps to secure and maintain the website. If you contact support, we receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide so that we can respond.

6. How we use limited information

  • issue, verify, periodically refresh, and revoke perpetual licenses;
  • manage trials, activations, and device limits;
  • provide purchase support and process refunds;
  • maintain service security and prevent fraud or license abuse;
  • meet applicable tax, accounting, and legal requirements.

7. Service providers and sharing

We share limited information only when needed with:

  • PayPal — checkout and payment processing;
  • Hosting and CMS providers — website operation and storage of license, activation, and security records.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share your Blender project or design content because Jyro does not collect that content.

8. Legal basis (EEA / UK)

Where applicable, we process limited information based on:

  • Contract performance — delivering and managing the license or trial you request;
  • Legitimate interests — service security, fraud prevention, support, and reliability;
  • Legal obligations — required tax, accounting, and compliance records.

9. Retention

License, trial, activation, and security records are retained while needed to provide access, enforce device limits, resolve support or refund requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Purchase records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request or related follow-up.

10. International processing

Our service providers may process limited information outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border transfers.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact hello@jyro.design. EEA and UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

12. Cookies

jyro.design may use essential cookies or local storage for basic functions such as language preference. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

13. Children

Jyro is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page.
